Work In Progress Wednesday

: )
Still working on my daughters blanket. It is coming along nicely. I am pretty happy with the way it is turning out.
Working on more Mug Rugs for my Etsy store. I will list them on Etsy once I get several sets done.

Cinnamon is very curious about the projects that I work on. She loves to watch the yarn as I crochet. Usually she can control herself from pouncing on it. Here she is checking the quality of my Mug Rugs. She approved.

Work In Progress Wednesday

Click the WIP box above to see what other crafty people are working on.

Well, my daughter did not wait long before wanting me to start her blanket. These are the colors she picked out. It is actually working up pretty quick and is turning out better than I thought it would.
This is a special surprise for my daughter. I am also making her a baby doll blanket to match her blanket. She will be so surprised when she finds out. I have to work on it when she is in bed at night so she won't know. Hope she doesn't read my blog.
I am participating in a gifting game on Facebook called Pay It Forward 2011. This is what I posted as my status: "Pay it Forward 2011: I promise to send something handmade to the first 5 people who leave a comment here. They must in turn post this and send something they make to the first 5 people who comment on their status. ***The rules are that it must be handmade by you and it must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011."
The blue dishcloths above are for the first person who responded to my status. I think that this is a great idea and will be fun to surprise my friends with a gift this year. I may try it on this blog in the future, you will have to stay tuned to see when. ; )
The red and white dishcloths and the "Mug Rugs" (or coasters) below are for my Etsy store. I need to get some new things listed.

Finished Projects

I FINALLY finished the second blanket. The one on the right (with squares) was a gift for my oldest son. The one on the left (strips) was a gift for my younger son. Now I have to prepare to make blankets for my daughters. I am hoping for a small break before starting that project. I will see how long my daughter will be patient. Probably not long. ; )
