Work In Progress Wednesday

Click the WIP box above to see what other crafty people are working on.

Well, my daughter did not wait long before wanting me to start her blanket. These are the colors she picked out. It is actually working up pretty quick and is turning out better than I thought it would.
This is a special surprise for my daughter. I am also making her a baby doll blanket to match her blanket. She will be so surprised when she finds out. I have to work on it when she is in bed at night so she won't know. Hope she doesn't read my blog.
I am participating in a gifting game on Facebook called Pay It Forward 2011. This is what I posted as my status: "Pay it Forward 2011: I promise to send something handmade to the first 5 people who leave a comment here. They must in turn post this and send something they make to the first 5 people who comment on their status. ***The rules are that it must be handmade by you and it must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011."
The blue dishcloths above are for the first person who responded to my status. I think that this is a great idea and will be fun to surprise my friends with a gift this year. I may try it on this blog in the future, you will have to stay tuned to see when. ; )
The red and white dishcloths and the "Mug Rugs" (or coasters) below are for my Etsy store. I need to get some new things listed.

  1. Love them all! I've never done a basic granny stripe and need to remember that when I need a quick blanket.

  2. cool stuff! I love the pay it forward idea through facebook. I wish I was in the financial situation to be able to send something to 5 people :(
I only recently got in to etsy, so trying to build my store all the time. So many things I want to get made and put in there!
If you go to my blog, be sure to check out the shop hop blog's a great way to get the word out each week about your etsy store, or any other online selling you are doing. It's new and put together by a close internet friend of mine.
