I love this blanket the more I work on it. I wasn't so sure about it when I started it. I only chose these colors because I got them at a very good price on Ebay. But now that it is almost finished I am loving it. Look for the finished product later this week.
This is the other red, white, and blue blanket I am working on for Christmas presents. I only had the red done last week so I am making slow progress.
They are both very pretty. What pattern are you using for the first one?
ReplyDeleteLove both of them! For a while all I was doing was ripples, now I've moved on to grannies. I need to diversify more, or at least alternate more often than I do.
ReplyDeleteThanks for popping in on WIP Wednesday!
the baby blanket looks so soft
ReplyDeleteI should start thinking of something big for Christmas gifts, but a little too late now as slow as I am on projects.
Melissa,
ReplyDeleteNo pattern really, I just think about how big I want it and what I want to do. I basically did 1 DC, skip next (3 DC, skip two repeated). After the last 3 DC I skipped one followed by 2 DC. When I post the finished picture I will take a close-up so you can see the stitches better.
I am so happy with the way it turned out. I think it is tied with the very first baby blanket I made for being my favorite finished project.
Blessings!
Love the blankets. Really nice work.
ReplyDeleteThose are very nice. I love making afghans. I like the blue and yellow combination.
ReplyDeleteLove both blankets! Each one a beauty on its own. Looks so soft and cuddly.
ReplyDeleteLove the blankets. Very nice work. I've looked through your blog a bit--love the colors you put together. Take care.
